Our Online Registration system is now open.

Once in the system you'll be able to log in to complete Pre-Registration and your Right to Study Check, to get your Essex journey started...

You'll need to activate your Essex IT account and use your @essex.ac.uk email address and password to access Online Registration. You'll need your PRID and your admissions passphrase to activate your account. If you've forgotten your passphrase, you can reset it here.

Returning to us in October 2026?

Our Online Registration system is also now open for you to register.

Remember, if you have recently taken resits (including coursework reassessment) you'll need to wait for the release of your results before completing registration for 2026/27. This will also be the case if you are a student with the School of Health and Social Care, whose results are subject to consideration at your School's September Board of Examiners.

We recommend that you use Google Chrome Web Browser on a Windows Operating System (such as a laptop or desktop computer) to complete the steps within the portal.
